JLA Advogados was established in 2005 (named as Fralaw-Ferreira Rocha Advogados) and is headquartered in Maputo. At the end of 2016 we decided to differentiate our offer of legal services and add value to our services.  The firm knows that its name is the first and most powerful part of its brand so it decided to change its name to differentiate itself in the Mozambican market. The firm is now JLA Advogados.  SAME COMMITMENT. SAME LEGAL SOLUTIONS.  JLA Advogados will continue to invest in a sustainable growth in the Mozambican market.  The firm’s experienced lawyers have in-depth knowledge of Mozambican law and local knowledge and are committed to meeting client legal needs. JLA Advogados was specifically designed to provide services of the highest quality and sees itself as a partner of its clients in any venture undertaken in Mozambique and abroad, through its international partners.  Through the project of internationalisation ‘Abreu International - Legal Solutions’ (in 2010, Fralaw-Ferreira Rocha Advogados/JLA established an association with Abreu Advogados), the firm seeks to provide integrated legal services to all of its clients, tailored to meet their strategic needs in the Portuguese-speaking countries - Angola, China (Macau), Timor-Leste, Cape Verde and Brazil - and international markets. Nowadays, JLA Advogados and Abreu Advogados practice in Mozambique have reached a new level as a consequence of the number of requests we are receiving from clients with investment interests in Mozambique. JLA and Abreu Advogados are now important players and highly regarded in the Mozambican legal market and are following the country’s growth, on a daily basis, collaborating together in the provision of legal services in all areas of law particularly energy, environment, infrastructure, natural resources and finance/capital markets.
